WelcomeThe High Free Church is a friendly congregation with a warm family feel. We always welcome visitors to our services and all other church activities.
We hold both Gaelic and English services. In the English services we use a mixture of psalms and hymns with and without musical accompaniment.
At meetings through the week there is time for prayer followed by a message from the Word of God. Sometimes we have guest speakers from different missionary organisations, many of whom receive support from the congregation.
Our services are currently held in Sandwick Hall on Sunday morning at 11am which is also livestreamed on Sermon Audio. Our evening service is held in the Seminary on Francis Street at 6:30pm which is available live on our YouTube channel. We also have a vibrant Sunday school for children from P1 to S3 which meets during the morning service, as well as a crèche.
Our meetings are held in the Fàilte Centre on Bayhead. There are English prayer meetings on Tuesdays and Saturdays and Gaelic prayer meetings every Thursday all at 7:30pm. Currently Tuesday meetings are held both in-person and on Zoom, Thursday meetings are only in-person meetings and are held in the Fàilte Centre except for the first week of the month (joint meeting in the Seminary with the Kenneth Street congregation.
The congregation has a Women for Mission group, women’s prayer group, youth fellowships, Cupa ‘n’ Ceilidh group (55+), and fellowships after church. Info on all these are published on our Facebook page and the church intimations.
