All ages are welcome at HFC Stornoway and we have a number of events for young people in our church.  This includes Sunday School for P1 – S3, Youth Nights and Youth Bible Study.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets during the morning service in term time and is for children from Primary 1 to S3.  It is a lively and enthusiastic Sunday School .The children take part in the family services at Christmas time where they sing, do readings and a nativity play and also in the Summertime when we have our prizegiving.

We would welcome new children and young people at any time through the year.

Youth Night – HYN

HYN is usually on once a month on a Saturday and is open from those in S1 – S6.  We meet in the Bridge Centre, Bayhead from 7 – 9pm.

The night starts with a relaxed time of games, crafts or activities – we have done things like cake decorating, crafts, games, dancing, sports, rollerblading etc and are always open to ideas…it is your youth night and the leaders want to make it enjoyable for you!  After this there is time for chat and snacks followed by a speaker or a DVD.

All from S1 upwards is welcome to come along and join us.  Look out for information on the church Facebook page, here and on the HYN Facebook group.

Forum

We’re starting a new meeting for all those in S4-S6.  It’s hoped that this meeting will be a chance to discuss issues that younger people face and questions they may have from a Christian Perspective in a relaxed environment with plenty of pizza, crisps and refreshments.  The first meeting will be in the Manse (28 Goathill Road) on Monday 1 February at 7.30pm.  Come along and bring a friend!  Anyone wanting further information can speak to Hugh, or speak to Ceitlyn Macleod about joining the Facebook Group.
